In a significant decision made in recent meeting held, Government of Pakistan has allowed Government employees of Grade 1 to 4 to register themselves in BISP program.
BISP program launched by Government of Pakistan is providing aid to poor and underprivileged people of Pakistan. The escalating inflation in Pakistan is forcing more and more people to join the program.
BISP is giving payment once in three months, depending upon the scheme in which an individual is registered. NSER regularly update data for BISP registrees.
BISP registration for Govt employees
BISP had a criteria that the family would not receive BISP payments if any of their family member was a government employee. They couldn’t register in any of the BISP schemes launched.
But in the recent meeting held on September 9, 2024 the permission has been granted to register government employees from grade 1 to 4 as BISP beneficiaries.

In order to register yourself for BISP program, visit nearest BISP Tehsil office. The statement has been issued by GOP and no official statement from BISP has been released yet.

BISP registration process at NSER
You can register yourself by sending your CNIC number to 8171. You can also register from NSER web portal or 8171 web portal. Make sure to provide all necessary documents correctly to avoid any error.
If you are visiting BISP Tehsil office, make sure to bring all original documents along with their photocopies to avoid repeated visits. NSER portal provides data to BISP so you can register there.
BISP Online Verification
After registration process, make sure to check your application status from NSER website or 8171 web portal. Sometimes, your registration process remain incomplete and you do not receive BISP payment.
You can receive BISP payments from any nearest HBL ATM. You just need to enter pin, then enter amount and you will receive payment. Benazir Taleemi Wazaif are introduced for students of poor families.
