Ehsaas Bahimat Buzurg Program 2024

Ehsaas program started in the era of former PM Imran Khan, started Bahimat Buzurg program to aid the advanced aged people in their financial matters. Ehsas Bahimat Buzurg program is again updated by CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz, Government of Punjab. 

Punjab Social Protection Authority (PSPA) is involved in providing financial assistance to the old age people of Pakistan. Ehsas program later comes under umbrella of Benazir Income support Program BISP. 

In order to alleviate poverty and to make the aged 65 or above people independent, Ehsas Bahimat Buzurg program 2024 is initiated to lessen the dependency.

It is a common observation that dependency upon anyone is difficult. Government of Pakistan realized the difficulties of aged people and their financial issues. Especially those who have no pension or other source of income.

In order to fulfill their needs and to help them achieve better living standard, CM Punjab pursued Ehsas Bahimat Buzurg program. This program will enable elderly people to fulfill their needs without tiring themselves. Earlier, Maryam Nawaz also announced relief package for farmers of Punjab.

The amount was given 2000 per month in the previous era under Ehsaas program but now due to increasing inflation and continuously changing circumstances, the amount is increased up to 9000 per month in a recent update by Government of Punjab.

It’s like a pension with the purpose to provide them the basic necessities in this age group of 65 or above. The poverty level and socioeconomic issues be resolved. They will be able to buy medicines, food, supplements, pay hospital bills etc without worrying for their finances.

In order to get registered, follow these steps

• visit the online portal of (PSPA). 
• Enter 13 digit CNIC or mobile number.
• Start the application process by giving the required documents

• Complete the application procedure online or visit the nearest social Welfare Office, Bait-ul-Maal office, or PSPA Registration Center
• Other way is to contact focal person and fill out the given application form. 
• After verification, the department will contact at provided mobile number.

There are four methods to withdraw money from BISP buzurg program:

• Withdraw from POS: You can get your money from any nearest shop/POS (Point of Sale). In the machine, swipe card and enter money to withdraw and get cash immediately
• Bank Branch: Get money by filling a slip provided by bank, fill it carefully and submit it along with your CNIC photocopy, you will get Bahimat buzurg money instantly
• ATM withdraw: Visit your nearest ATM, insert card in machine, enter your pin, enter amount, wait for few seconds and you will receive your cash at once.

In short, Bahimat Buzurg program is a great initiative to relax and free elderly people from worries. They will be able to manage their own finances without depending on any other person. This should be adopted by other provinces as well. The stipend should be increased annually along with pensions and salaries.
