If I am asked about effective program launched by the Government of Pakistan, my answer is Ehsaas Rashan Program launched by ex PM Imran Khan as initiative to support all the needy and the poor families of Pakistan.
It’s been a great news to hear about it, which gives free Rashan including the basic needs of every house. Subsidies on major rashan like ghee, lentils(daal), sugar(cheeni), tea(patti), rice, flour, and some other products are offered. Every family can get 2000 PKR monthly.
As you know BISP was launched in 2008. The successors continued it and it was later called Ehsaas Program. Under it, Ration program was a good move to facilitate the public particularly the needy.
Its pioneer ex PM Imran khan had a vision to lessen poverty by amending Article 38 D which includes the clause to provide basic necessities of food, shelter , clothing, education and health to the public.
Budget for Ehsaas Rashan Program
ts budget was fixed as 80 billion, later increased to 120 billions. The move was taken to bring all the helping hands of the poor in Pakistan under one umbrella and to create cordination among all the institutions.
In the year 2022, the budget was increased upto 250 billion ,initiatives launched through this programme under Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety Division (PASSD) In budget 2023.
For Ehsaas Rashan Program 8171, the Benazir Income Support Program has allocated Rs 35 billion. Those registered for BISP can get benefit from Ehsas Rashan program. 30 KG flour was also distributed under this ration program in the Holy month of Ramadan.
Ehsaas Rashan Program Registration Through NSER Survey
NADRA had launched NSER survey method across 155 centers to aid the residents of that districts. Its procedure was to select the district of Residence and got registered for BISP. Those who got registered considered enable for Kafalat program as well.
A door to door campaign was also run to identify the deserving people of society. If any deserving person was left, he was asked to register under new survey launched in February 2023.
Ehsaas Rashan Riayat Registration New Method 2024
In the year 2024, PMDC has launched PMT score criteria for Medical students to be eligible for Ehsas Rashan program. you can check your PMT SCORE through Nadra portal. . If your score is less than 30, then you are eligible for the Ehsas program.
How to check PMT SCORE
To check PMT score on mobile, you have to install Pakistan citizen portal from play store. Then after installation, you have to ‘register’ yourself first. Follow the instructions given below.

In order to ensure social safety to the deserving people, Punjab Ehsas Rashan Riayat app is built to help the common people get subsidy on Rashan at designated merchants across Pakistan registered at Ehsas.

To ensure the distribution of Rashan the Government of Pakistan has made a web portal 8123 to check their web portal. Discount of upto4500 is given through this portal. The web link is given as http://ehsaas.punjab.gov.pk

The solution is to get a registered CNIC through app or web portal and then claim rashan discount of 30-40% on food items in utility stores.130 Million people can get benefit from this Ehsaa Rashan program.

Ehsas Rashan Program Tracking system
I am giving update regarding tracking system and a good news for Ehsas Rahan program registered or non registered members. Tracking system has been introduced by Govt. of Pakistan.
If you have your CNIC and Registered phone number, you can track your Rashan and get latest update by visiting their web portal or through Rashan Riyat app or visit the nearest Khidmat center.
Good news is for those who have received subsidy already of 4000 can get more subsidy of 2000 from Ehsas Rashan program 2024.
In short, Govt. of Pakistan has taken a responsible initiative to help the needy and the poor families as well as repressed people by bringing Ehsas Rashan program. Food necessities can be fulfilled by everyone and its a positive step.
